Porsche GT3 Cup Canada Ready for Challenge of Indy Toronto Street Course

The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama field is at the halfway point of its 2018 season as the one-make series heads into the Honda Indy Toronto race weekend (July 13-15) for the fifth consecutive year for two, 45-minute races. 

Leading the charge this year is Ottawa-based Mark Motors Racing. Between the two drivers in its lineup – Zach Robichon in the No. 98 Porsche and Roman De Angelis in the No. 78 Porsche – the team has swept each of the six races in the Platinum class this season.

“Dragon” Borgeat Enjoys Record-Setting Return To Porsche GT3 Cup Canada

After nearly eleven months away from Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama competition, Etienne Borgeat didn’t miss a beat.

The series’ two races at the Canadian Grand Prix last weekend in Montreal marked the first time Borgeat has competed in Porsche GT3 Cup Canada since being involved in the nine-car incident at Watkins Glen International last July.

Borgeat was one of four drivers transported to a local hospital after the incident and the Montreal native described his and the team’s recovery process.

For the 13 drivers in the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama series, their dreams will be realized this weekend as they get behind the wheel of their cars during a Formula One weekend at the Canadian Grand Prix.
